Saturday, fast ride.  Nicknamed “The Shoot Out”. Expect a very large group, 100+ riders and very fast pace.  For a slower ride there is a pre-shootout group that leaves from the same location 15 minutes prior to the standard Shootout.

TriSports.com Sahuarita Triathlon @ Rancho Sahuarita

The 2017 TriSports.com Sahuarita Triathlon is a USA Triathlon sanctioned multisport festival taking place in and around Sahuarita Lake Park taking place on Saturday 5/6/17. You can choose from Sprint or Olympic Distance Triathlons, 5k Trail Run, or forego the swim and participate in a duathlon!

If you’re looking for a run, we’ve added a 5k option for the whole family!

Sahuarita is a wonderful town located just 15 miles south of Tucson, and less than 2 hours from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (directions). The average temperatures in early May are mid-50’s in the morning, with a high of 85 degrees. The water temperature in Sahuarita Lake in early May is an ideal 67 to 69 degrees. The area around the Lake is absolutely perfect for friends and family to spectate or just hang out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Park and playground facilities are right there for the kids, too.

This PR fast course provides the perfect opportunity for a 5K Personal Record. Your winter mileage is built. Your spring speed work will be done. Now it is time to set that new PR before summer!

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Youth On Their Own, a 501(c)(3) Dropout prevention agency.  Educating Homeless Teens…..Investing in Arizona’s Future.

Mother’s Day weekend. Spend a Saturday morning with your family at Reid Park. Every mom deserves a PR on her special day.

Ride of Silence Tucson @ Reid Park

The Ride of Silence is a free ride, hosted in cities worldwide, that aims to inform motorists, police, and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to our public roadways. the ride also honors those who have been killed or seriously injured.

Please *SHARE* w/ friends, enemies, close & distant family, cycling clubs, chess clubs, new & seasoned motorists, as well as any organization/affiliation you can think of. We want to make a statement that this community takes cycling safety seriously & strives to take a stand against distracted driving.

We ask that folks show up around 5 for registration and pre-ride announcements. The ride will leave promptly at 5:30pm at Reid Park, Ramada 19, can be accessed from Country Club road.

ROUTE: N. on Country Club, E. on Broadway, S. on Wilmot, W. on 22nd & back N. on Country Club. (roughly 8 to 10 miles)

Veterans and First Responders 5k @ Naranja Park
May 20 @ 7:00 am

The first Annual Veterans and First Responders 5k run/walk and Memorial Mile run/walk, presented by Title Sponsor Splendido at Rancho Vistoso, to help raise funds for the Southern Arizona Veterans and First Responders Living Memorial at Naranja Park. The memorial will be a place where people can go and reflect; they can honor their forefathers, grandfathers, grandmothers, aunts and uncles – whoever served. It will be an opportunity for education about veterans as well as first responders – they are equals in this memorial.

Deuces Wild Triathlon Festival @ Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area
Jun 3 – Jun 4 all-day

The Deuces Wild Triathlon Festival is one of the most popular weekend festivals in multisport. The weekend consists of four races: an Olympic distance triathlon, a long course triathlon, a youth triathlon and an off-road XTERRA America Tour triathlon.

All proceeds from the race benefit various charities, especially the Challenged Athletes Foundation and local White Mountain organizations.

The Festival kicks off on Saturday with the DeuceMan Long Course Triathlon which takes athletes around a scenic tour of the White Mountains. The Olympic Distance Triathlon will follow, taking athletes out of Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area, through the city of Show Low and back into the Ponderosa Pines. The race day is ended with the always exciting Youth Deuceathlon, a triathlon for the budding athletes and one of the more fun events to watch.

The Festival weekend is completed on Sunday with the XTERRA Deuces Wild Triathlon. The race is part of the XTERRA American Tour where athletes can earn points towards becoming Regional Champions and qualifying for the XTERRA USA Championships.
